Stunning views, cold weather, abundant parks, great food – Baguio City has always been a perfect place for families to enjoy. However, given the pandemic, everyone, locals and visitors alike, have had to somewhat change their approach in enjoying the city putting safety and health above everything else. Still, that doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy Baguio City as we did before. Now is actually a good time to perhaps reacquaint ourselves with the city we have all come to love. Here are some fun and free family activities in Baguio you can enjoy.
Fly Kites or Play Games At Melvin Jones
Melvin Jones has just the space for you and the family to spend an afternoon out while the kids play games of catch, badminton, soccer, or any other sport while still practicing social distancing from others. They can even fly kites which would be more fun if they made the kites themselves.

Visit Churches and Temples
If you visit Baguio churches and temples now, you might experience them as they should be experienced: in peace. You and the family can also find the time to pray or make your offerings completely undisturbed.
Explore Camp John Hay
There are actually plenty of places to explore in Camp John Hay like the Bell Amphitheatre, the Bell House, the Cemetery of Negativism, the Yellow Trail, and more. It has a full day’s worth of activities for the family to enjoy and you can even enjoy fresh air even with your masks on.

Take Long Walks Along Leonard Wood, South Drive, or Brent Road
One of the best ways perhaps to rediscover Baguio is to walk the city. You don’t have to have a destination in mind. Simply enjoy the beautiful houses, the huge trees, restaurants, and simply just the city as it is in these walks. You might even pass by some of the haunted spots of the city. Plus, they’re very good forms of exercise.
Jog, Bike, Boat at Burnham Park
Burnham Park is still a great place to spend the morning or the afternoon in especially if you and your family are fond of being active. After jogging, biking, or boating, you and the kids could even grab a bite at the new food trucks by the biking area.
